Creator affiliate programs
Influencer app tracking
See which influencer link drove the install, then which purchases followed. Use that measurement to run a performance-based creator program.
Track influencer installs from a tap
Each influencer gets a URL on go.tapapplink.com. When someone taps it, Tap App Link records the click and sends them to the App Store, Google Play, or a desktop QR handoff. On first open the SDK calls trackInstall() and matches that open to the click inside a 7-day window.
- Android. Play Store destinations can carry a referrer token for a deterministic match.
- iOS. The click is scored against first open. The SDK does not use IDFA and does not show an ATT prompt.
The full match rules live in How attribution works.
Attach purchases to the same influencer
After the install, call setAppUserId() with the same customer id your billing provider puts on webhooks. Subscriptions, renewals, refunds, and one-time buys then attach to that influencer. That is how a creator affiliate program rewards performance.
Works with RevenueCat, Superwall, Adapty, and Qonversion. Dashboard steps: Billing webhooks.
Discount codes when the link is missed
On Pro, viewers who already have the app can type the influencer's code. applyCode() attributes them. getOffer() shows that influencer's discounted offering.
Test before you pay anyone
Switch the dashboard to Sandbox and open the Live Attribution Debugger. Sandbox traffic stays out of live payouts.
Frequently asked questions
How do I track influencer app installs?
Give each influencer a unique Tap App Link URL. Record the click, route to the App Store or Play, and match the first open to that click inside a 7-day window. Purchases then attach from your billing webhook.
Does influencer tracking need IDFA or ATT?
Tap App Link works without IDFA and without an App Tracking Transparency prompt. Android can match through Play Install Referrer. Other platforms score the click against first open.
Is this an affiliate program or just tracking?
Tracking is the trust layer. The product is a creator affiliate program: creator dashboards, commissions, and payout invoices on top of that match.
