Getting started
Quick start
Go from signup to an attributed install, with a creator who can see it, in a few minutes.
1. Create your account
Sign up at app.tapapplink.com and create an app. Production and Sandbox are separate environments from day one.
2. Issue an SDK key
Open the app card, then SDK Setup. Create a key for the environment you are testing. Keep sandbox keys on test builds. Ship production keys on store builds.
3. Install the SDK
React Native example. Same shape on iOS, Android, and Flutter.
yarn add @tapapplink/react-nativeRebuild the native binary. Expo Go cannot load Play Install Referrer. Use a development client instead.
4. Configure, track, identify
import { TapAppLink } from "@tapapplink/react-native";
import Purchases from "react-native-purchases";
TapAppLink.configure({
publicKey: "YOUR_TAPAPPLINK_KEY",
environment: __DEV__ ? "sandbox" : "production",
});
await TapAppLink.trackInstall();
await TapAppLink.setAppUserId(await Purchases.getAppUserID());
const offer = TapAppLink.getOffer();
if (offer?.billingOfferId) {
const offerings = await Purchases.getOfferings();
const discounted = offerings.all[offer.billingOfferId];
// Present this offering on the paywall
}5. Create a creator, a link, and (optionally) a code
- Invite a creator. They get their own dashboard login.
- Create a tracking link. For the first test, create it in Sandbox and use the Live Attribution Debugger instead of opening go.tapapplink.com by hand.
- Launch the app. The attribution should appear within seconds.
- On Pro, attach a discount code. If the click match misses,
applyCode()still attributes the customer. Details: Discount codes.
6. Connect billing
Point RevenueCat, Superwall, Adapty, or Qonversion at the webhook URL in Apps, then Revenue Tracking. Then setAppUserId() with that provider's customer id. Each provider has its own dashboard click path: Billing webhooks.
