Tracking links

Each link belongs to one creator and one environment. The public URL uses a short code on go.tapapplink.com (or sandbox.go.tapapplink.com in sandbox). Give Sarah a TikTok link and a YouTube link if you want those posts scored separately.

What happens on click

  1. The request hits Firebase Hosting and is rewritten to trackClick.
  2. The function records platform, user agent, and locale.
  3. The user is redirected to the iOS, Android, or desktop destination. If desktop has no fallback URL, they see a QR handoff page that opens the same link on their phone. If neither store URL is set, they see a branded page. A desktop fallback URL adds a continue button on that page.
